6500-9500’, angles to 40°, all aspects.
Avalanche activity:
None observed.
Slopes skied:
West shoulder of Little Water, North facing into Lambs, Murdock peak north facing, Murdock shoulder northwest facing.Snow surface and conditions:
There is and extensive layer of surface hoar and near surface facets from 1-4” deepoverlying old crusts and weakening mid pack snow on most aspects, with the exception of sunny slopes. Those have a stout crust melting to corn like conditions in scattered locations. There are still isolated areas with a firm wind crust on the surface. Support is marginal on the shady slopes, wide skis work better.
Weather:
Bluebird. Moderate temperatures and no wind.
Evaluation:
Snow is stable. Surface sluffing on the steep and shady was not present or noted, with extensive ski cutting.
